We Have A Winner!

I would like to thank every one who took part in our "Help Me Plan A Tea Party" Give-a-Way. You all were so generous and very creative. I wish that I could publish all of the entries that were received, but I think I would run out of space. It was really a treat reading the suggestions, they received a lot of smiles, and smiles, and more smiles. We have a few that we are tickled pink about sharing with our public, we think they are fabulous, and we hope that you will think so too.

Invitation:  You are cordially invited to a themed company meeting on the date of: February 22, 2010. After the production of the meeting, there will be a 1950's-1960's era company Tea Party. Light refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Imaginations and enjoyment are required. We look forward to your presence.

Menu:
Noon to 12:45 p.m.- assorted teas and crumpets.
12:45 p.m.-1:pm-appetizers.
1:p.m.- 1:35 p.m.-finger sandwiches and light refreshments.
1:35 p.m.- 2:pm after lunch spirits and hardy conversation.

Menu: I think the menu should include an assortment of finger foods. I have a recipe for a fabulous tuna spread- that doesn't smell fishy. It is a white paste that goes well with any cracker assortment. A chicken salad would also go well. May I suggest a tray with items such as: cheeses, sausages, olives, pickles, carrots, peppers, celery. Sweet items might include scones, butter/sugar cookies, oatmeal nuggets- all bite size to accompany all the teas you will have available.

Attire: You could wear a summer-like hat with yellow daisies on top of a pastel color ribbon that is tied around it and hanging beautifully in the back in a bow. You could have a summer dress- box pleats, off white with small daisies print barely visible. It would have a belted waist to show off your beautiful figure! No stockings, mule-like shoes, also white or light yellow. Your hair would be natural, beautifully hanging from under your hat. Your face would be nautral with just a touch of lipstick and maybe a little eye shadow, if you like. Your perfume if desired would be something very light, not over whelming.

Attire: What I think about when it comes to a tea party, is having on pretty lace gloves and wide brim hats for the ladies.

All of the suggestions that were entered for the Give-a-Way were read by our team, but the winner was randomly chosen by computer. The decision was way too difficult for us to make on our own. There will be more give-a-ways and we look forward to everyone's paticipatation again. Thanks again, and...

Enjoy!
