Wow! It seems like it's been an eternity since we've communicated, a lot has been going on. Over the past 6 months or so, at the urging of a good friend I joined an artists group. It's the first time I've ever done anything like this, and I must say I really enjoyed it.  I've made a lot of new friends, met a lot of interesting people and creatively speaking, just had a ball.  I learned that tent life comes with its challenges.  We actually started around early May, and one would think that after living in Michigan one's whole life that one would KNOW how to dress in Michigan weather.  There were those days when I thought I was gona freeze to death. It was during these times that I called up seemingly everybody I knew and pleaded with them to bring me lots and lots of clothes.  One person even brought me a flannel sheet. As the season heated up we began to experience a wind that came blowing off the Detroit River, our tents swayed from side to side, our crocheted, knitted and embroidered items blew off the tables, pictures blew off easels, baskets and posters blew off hooks.  There were times when the artists were actually running down the street trying to catch the things that appeared to be moving with light speed right past everyone.  Then there was the rain, it came and wet everything up, it also helped us to realize that our tents had leaks that we didn't know about.  And how can I forget the hot, did I say hot? The hot, humid, bad hair-day kind of humid days.  You could stand there and just see the mercury rising and yet our love of the craft never waned.

 

Our season has come to its end, and we are gearing up and preparing for the next season.  During this off time, we here at It's Only Squash have been busy stirring up our creative juices.  We are adding some new stuff to our site, and we think you're going to enjoy it.  We've got some fun Burpies for the baby,  we also have some very classy Bibs that will look quite nice when baby is dressed to the nines.  We are adding some Elegant Linen Guest Towels, some of our best work yet.  And if you think you might just  need a nice wrap to go with that little black dress, we've got Pashminas in lots of colors.  They're soft, light-weight and they look fabulous.  To add to our Table Linens, we have Bun Warmers, they will make an impressive touch to that well set tablescape.  We've got new Soaps and new scents for our Candles.  All great gift ideas.

 

We've finally got our Newsletter finished, and it's scheduled to go out Friday, November 26, 2010.  As a way of saying Thank You to our loyal visitors and readers, we are offering 20% off of purchases 25.00 or more.  (This does not include our Soaps and Candles).  We will also be doing a drawing December 15, 2010, this is open to anyone receiving our Newsletter, reading it, and taking the survey.
